Ever want a new look, and an overall different way to download packages after you’ve jailbroken?
Cydia, the main package installer for all jailbroken devices can sometimes get old to some users. There have been many alternatives, such as ICY, Kryptes, and such which of course got big over time.
Introducing a new Installer to the game, Pakage.
Before we get any further, please note that Pakage is in-fact discontinued, as in it is no longer being worked on. It is unfinished, and completely abandoned.
It’s everything you would expect in a package/apt installer, a clean UI, sleek and easy to use, not to mention very user friendly. But, with the above stated comes the hard news.. It can be a bit unstable, and crash at random times, as it was never completed. But, all in all, it works at least 75% of the time, and does its job like its supposed to.
I would not recommend trying to replace Cydia with this, but it’s a great alternative if you just want to update an app, or check what’s new without those long wait times that Cydia tends to bring.
