Google Tweaks Apps For iPhone, Android

It was in April that Google had announced the new versions of Gmail App for the iPhone and Android based devices. Seven months down the lane, Google has made subtle changes to a host of its Mobile Apps that should enhance the overall user experience.

While the redesign in April was a major one with the applications getting overhauled from the ground up, this latest update is a minor one. The changes are applicable to Gmail, Latitude, Calendar, or Tasks on Android based phones and of course, the iPhone.

The major focus this time seems to be the buttons which, according to Google, now complements the content you’re reading, rather than being intrusive. The sizes of the icons have been increased and the headers get a darker color for easy readability.

To try these apps, all you need to do is to point your mobile browser to Gmail (gmail.com), Calendar (google.com/calendar), Latitude (google.com/latitude), Tasks (gmail.com/tasks), or just go to google.com from you phone and find all these web apps under the ‘more’ link.
