Now as I mentioned earlier, redsn0w 0.9.5 is just a beta release of RedSn0w, which means you might have a few issues. One of the most common issues is that the Cydia icon appears all white. In order to fix this, simply add the following repo to Cydia and reboot your iPhone:http://apt.saurik.com/cydia-3.7.
To add the source :
1. Open Cydia.
2. Tap the Manage button on the bottom.
3. Than select sources.
4. Tap on the edit button on the top right corner, and then select Add.
5. Type in http://apt.saurik.com/cydia-3.7
6. Then Add source.

well i've tried to add this source a thousand times, but cydia just doesn't let me add any sources

i've tried it with both the 0.9.5b5-4 version as the 0.9.5b5-3 version, but none of those let me use cydia, normaly when you irst start up cydia, it needs to reorganise everything, and after that , it shuts itself, but mine reorganisation takes a very long time (too long to be normal, trust me i know alot of jailbreaks etc, so i know the time it's taking the cydia app to reorganise itself is just wrongly long
) so normly the cydia apps should just quit so that i can open it again, but no, my entire iphone crashes and it restarts itself, than when i open my cydia, it sais unable to connect, connecio error, and i don't see any updates or sources…

but in step 2 it says: download the ios 4 firmware to your desktop ,, but from where… and now i've upgraded my iphone 3g with itunes (no custoim firmware thingy) and whe i now try to jailbreak with redsnow, it says something like the chosen firmware in redsnow isnt the same with the firmware thats on my iphone…. but i'll try to use this link (which i had already downloaded 1 hour ago) when i've tried to downgrade, but i don't thinnk that'll work too

It is possible to downgrade to 3.1.2 and 3.1.3. Just restore to 3.1.2 from iTunes. After restoring, you will get an error 1015. After that, jailbreak the device using blackra1n.
nope, like i said, i've tried this one too,, but it gives me toe 1015 error, i've read something about rslite … but i realy don't know what it is…
No need for rslite, just jailbreak after getting this error.

That's the correct procedure. After jailbreaking the phone will switch on.

well m!, i've succesfully downgraded and jailbroken my iphone , but there is just 1 problem left, and this one is a major one! i've got no signal now!! the signal bars are at their smallest (so u see 4-5 dots in stead of that strong signal bars) but it doesn't say 'no signal'!
i told my mom to call me, but she said she couldt reach me

uhm it says : bad url… it doesnt add the source, andd one more question, does blackrain jailbreak 3.1.3 too ? that way i can upgrade to 3.1.3 and jailbreak that , maybe i'll get a signal that way, my iphne has never done this before… it's a simlockfree-iphone from belgium..
You can jailbreak 3.1.3 using redsn0w 0.9.4. blackra1n is easier to use though.
When jailbreaking with redsn0w 0.9.4, you have to select the IPSW file at the beginning, select 3.1.2 instead of 3.1.3. It will still jailbreak properly.

When I try to correct cydia ,I can't get past “unsble to load” am I doing something wrong, how do I obtain a internet connection?
Make sure that you are connected to internet.
Either by Wifi or 3G.
Then Cydia will work properly.
I tried another repo and it worked.. now syncing cracked apps from iTunes and loving it
You can install app sync from many repos. But if you want to use installous, then install app sync from the hackulous repo. (cydia.hackulo.us)
m8, now that i'm back on the 3.1.2 firmware version, i don't like it that muchh, uhm last week i tried to upgrade to firmware 4.0 , which worked good, but my cydia icon is white and neither do i have any internet connection, tried resetting my networksettings or using edge ,, nope nothing worked, thats why i downgraded back to 3.1.2, any solutions to help out the cydia problem on 4.0? it says unable to load (no internet connection )…
Restore to iOS4, then jailbreak using the latest redsn0w or sn0wbreeze. The cydia white icon issue has been fixed in redsn0w 0.9.5b-5.
We always need Internet connection to use cydia. That can be either wifi or 3g or even edge connection.

At present there is no stable jailbreak for iOS 4.1, i recommend that to go back to 4.0 or 4.0.x until further notice from me.

i finished jailbreak with greenpoison. My iphone 3gs ver 4.1. Why after install the cydia, i can’t run it. The cydia logo be white icon. What must i do?

You will have to restore again. Try jail-breaking using limera1n.
i cannot even open up cydia it crashes as soon i click on it, is there a fix for that?

what a fucking joke. “If cydia is all white and wont run, just run cydia and add this repo” do you not see the problem here?
